Fun places to visit in NJ

Well everyone knows the obvious, beaches, boardwalk and the Deleware River but there's so many we forget. The State Parks offer so many programs and they are free for the most part, some charge a small fee. Beautiful scenery and awesome fishing. I had my first bass of the season during a camping trip at the Wading River. Camping is just a great way to travel but I love the Marriot so any place can be fun. We even went to the Atlantic City Aquarium and actual got a chance to visit Lucy , the Margate Elephant. It was soooo cool and educational as well. AC is known for it's gambling but they re-designed it by the basin and it was so quaint not scary like so many parts. Shopping of course is fun, but not with kids, girls we need another moms only trip. The Morristown area is like being in a mini NY city, dining, shops, theater. The group is divided between Rock and Country, but we all agree on Captain and diet soda .
Our next excursion is hopefully to Insectropolis in Toms River, I will need to check to see if the Ritacco Center is having the Toms Riverfest this year. The PA Poconos is close by and you can drive to the NY Catskills. Never listen to the GPS little sweet girl voice either she is clueless. I have been working on a set of links for a scouting packet so I will try to organize it and post about places to visit.
